The New Mustang Maniacs Board

Postby JustAFriend » Mon Oct 28, 2002 2:42 am

OK, I feel like an idiot for having to ask this but on the new board I'm having trouble. Not sure how many of you post over there, but I have registered and all that, but after I login when I click on a thread or profile or anything it takes me back to being a guest. Can any of you tell me how to fix this? Thanks.

Sorry, my experience has been just the opposite. I logged on once, and now its permanent. If I open the site, I'm automatically signed back in. Also, sometimes I'm apparently still in the chat room long after I've logged out. Sometimes there are 2 of me. I guess they have some bugs to work out.

JAF: I'm having the same problem. I registered, but when I go on and try to post, I get an error message telling me I haven't registered. I actually prefer the format of this board to the other one.

I have had many of the same problems. It may have something to do with the settings on your machine for cookies. Most of the problems I have encountered seem to have cleared up (like it now recognizes me all the time), but not all of them. weird things happen to my machine when I'm logged on to the new board and it is slooooooower than molassis!!!

The webmaster at the other site suggested going here www.google.com/cookies.html to get instructions on enabeling your cookies. Hope it helps.

The cookie thing did it. I think I'm good to go now. Thanks for the help.

Thanks to everyone who has supported both MustangManiacs.com and PonyFans.com.

We are fortunate to have two quality places to be heard.

I encourage everyone to keep the banter going and to support both sites.

Thanks. How is the traffic on the new site over there?

Looks really good, and going to your registration-based format hopefully will eliminate a lot of the garbage that cluttered up your otherwise good forum. It sometimes overwhelmed the actual SMU discussion.
