A Dement first

Postby Sam I Am » Sun Dec 21, 2003 7:23 pm

Christmas has come early for SMU. The ponies basketball team upset a ranked team (and on the road)for the first time under Dement. I'll bet that when Purdue invited SMU to their tournament they setting up another easy opponet to insure the Boilermakers chnacenes o winning thier event as usual. Can this happen in football too?

What I think of is that we are already a 'bubble team' even if we get to 20 wins because, depite our two quality wins, we have two very bad losses (ASU and USD).

Perhaps we can get on track and get to 20+ wins and win the WAC outright, and make it to the conf final and be one of 2-3 WAC teams to go to the dance.

Maybe we are an NIT team this year. I don't see us winning the WAC.

I was watching ESPNews to see highlights of our game (didn't get any...boo!!!) and on the ticker at the bottom of the screen it showed that Kansas was playing at Nevada with the quote next to it: "Kansas 13-4 all-time against BIG WEST teams" LOL.

Guess I'll just have to tune into Sportscenter to see highlights.
