I have seen one article mentioning $4 mil for 8 years. I have seen one article saying it is not true. Consider the coach not the terms. I think our group remembers what we just went through.

Can anyone imagine when we hired JJ what the response would have been if we told them 6 years later MB would be the next. They would have thought JJ took us to a BCS game.

i will say there is ZERO chance we have offered anyone an 8 year contract, unless it has a very quickly diminishing buyout.

i would offer him a 4 year deal, that refreshes another 4 yrs every time he wins 10 games

If we hire the right coach we will not keep them more than 3 years unless we get P5. Just put a huge buyout for the first 2 years and play it by ear.

Hey I got an idea-since Brown needs a great Coordinator-and no one seems to be out there on the Offensive side in his Coaching Tree-why don't we steal Lincoln Riley who is getting peanuts at ECU. Let him have free rein on offense. He's only 31-may not get a Head Coaching job this year(although I bet he gets a P5 OC offer this year) . Bring him home to Texas-let him continue to develop. I'd love that idea

If 8 years 32 mil guaranteed the other school would have to pay 20 mil after 3 years to get him. Think they would do that? Not trying to be a smart alec just asking.

I never said one word about 8 years 32 million guaranteed. Those are your made up terms. All I said was hire a good coach put together a good contract with a high buyout for the first 2 years. Quit fixating on the rumored money and then adding a guarantee.

You just keep on taking pieces of whatever you think is worst and claim it to be true.
