Hutchinson was going to run, I figured then we'd have a pretty entertaining governor's race......who knows though maybe Strayhorn gave give him a run for his money and a little political excitement to the state

The Kinkster will make it entertaining. It's about time a Texas Jewboy got into politics.

No, not joking, I really do think he'll make it entertaining. He's been entertaining in every other endeavor he's embarked upon.

i guess i read what you wrote wrong.

entertaining, yes. interesting, no. he's a funny writer and good musician, so entertainment is his gig (and i own 2 books and 1 CD of his as well as being an avid TxMonthly last page reader), but a politician he is not.

Which is exactly why a bunch of folks will vote for him. In his words, the main part of his platform will be to reverse "the wussification of Texas."

I'm all for it, too. Kinky has to get on the ballot first, which isn't going to be easy. The only people who will be eligible to sign the petition to get him on the ballot are people who did not vote in party primary elections.

But I read that one of the guys who was one of the directors for Jesse Ventura's campaign is now working for Kinky.

It has a nice ring to it. Catchy. I'd like to see it on a t-shirt.

Alot of times the Baylor-TCU game was refered to as the Holy War. Something along those lines might be cool.
