Wow that was enlightening rolex, thanks for run down..I'm all about spirit, however my position still stands. I've been to Notre Dame, Stanford and USC. These bands play the occasional random song, I think it may be cool if our band did the same (and not just at halftime), may wake me up too. Mustang35SMU, yes, we all know you're not in the band, you are also 15 (those cds must have been a steal!).

To be honest, T, the other songs are a little too long to get out other than at time outs and between quarters. We DID play Dial M for Mustang, Land of 1000 Dances, and Ease On Down the Road during the game that I know of off the top of my head. It's just playing a song once in comparison to 80 Perunas really makes the other songs seem sparse, but it's really all we have time for

There was nothing better when our offense was clicking than to have the band in "quiet Peruna mode during the snap and going full tilt after the snap, and back to quiet mode and so forth. It added momentum to the offense and ticked the other teams fans off like nothing I've ever seen. Since our fans are too cool to cheer loudly, it at least helps give them something to do.

I'm surprised you weren't arsewhipped by that ridiculous Fanfare that USC plays every single time.I would think that's more of a whip than Peruna.
As Spaz stated time is usually the factor. Since we don't get TV timeouts, etc. there's just no time to really play anything. I agree an occasional tune would be nice but sometimes time doesn't all. However, I know and understand where you're coming from, it's just my position still stands. :D
