Only need to think back to 95-21 and then the 35-16 revenge game our Seniors played at Homecoming 3 years later. It's time we become more competitive against these guys
The game in 1992 we won 44 to 16.
Pretty good quarterback that day.
Number 18.

I didn't think it took this much effort to motivate the team or win this game. Creative move but the type of thing I'd save for OU.
It should be Cougs. That's how Wazzu and the Y roll. We different.

I agree it should be Cougs, but Coogin' it works so much better than Cougin' it.

I think applewhite or Herman put these on the floor and covered the UH seal in the alumni center which connects to the indoor practice facility (Bill Youeman Hall). It was a shock to the kids because he coveredh the UH seal as a reminder that it's Our Culture vs. yours!
It has nothing to do with disrespect thus the reason they didn't go out and buy and smu jersey....
Herman is a registered member of MENSA and a very strategic thinker!!! Everything he does is with precision and meaning... Something that tony Levine could not have executed while he was here... Btw, some friends close to the program have repeatedly said that Herman views Morris as a great peer and an equally matched brain trust!
We're looking forward to having the ESPN crew on campus going gaga over our new stadium! I've always liked watching games at ford but tdecu was designed with incredible foresight and execution... It will show well on Thursday night with a great crowd on hand despite all the stuff going on thurs night...
We had 36,000 for tx state but expect the crowd to dip to 32-33 with nfl, mlb, nba, and mls all active on Thursday.
Safe travels and let us know if you need recommendations for stuff near campus or downtown... Btw, you can take the metro purple line directly to tdecu from downtown and midtown now that it opened in August!

I think UH is battling with SMU for recruits and he knows if he kicks our arses, it can make his sell a little easier. Opened a 21 point spread and Herman with try to win by as much.

Would expect Morris to do the same if shoe were on other foot.... Like a good general, Herman knows that Morris is equally skilled and can turn things around at smu fast.... Art of War..... Herman is executing his plan to a T right now and Morris is in the way!

Smu is where UH was in 2007 and then again in 2011.... You finally have a coach that everyone wants and now he has to figure out how to energize the base.... Otherwise no one will buy in.... In a lot of ways UH fans are still trying to figure out just how real Tom Herman is... Point being we got wide eyed with briles, got gut punched by scumlin, and no telling how long Herman will stay but hopefully it's more than 3-4 years! At the same time, it's good that both schools have good leadership right now--- well at least on the football field that is
