Good speech. He really thinks he's getting Venables? Stumbled a bit on special teams.

The thing I really like about Jank is that he is very upfront and honest. Not a lot of 'coach speak' like cm. wonder how long the hogs will buy his bs.

Seems like you are hoping that he fails. We’ll see.

His special teams comment was interesting. Has there ever been a team that missed as many XP’s as we did this year?

Was it just me, or was the body language in the room kind of hostile? They didn't look like they were buying in just yet. The sit up straight deal was kind of a dud.

Im sure there are many in that room who are a little skeptical. I belive that would be a normal reaction

actually it doesn't matter to me if he succeeds or fails. He's no longer our coach so I have no dog in that fight.. I just happen to like the way Jank does his pressers as opposed to cm and a lot of other coaches.

That's what being associated with SMU can do to a coach's reputation. Critical that the next coach continues improving on what is currently in place. Can't afford another backslide

I hope our players are a lot more receptive to our new coach than those players were to chad.

I'm with Red. Seems like the crowd didnt care at all about what he is saying. Also, the speech seemed fake. I thought I remembered someone more dynamic and exciting than that. Maybe just my view from the outside now.

Just kind of loses its shine the second time you've heard the same speech

The players and even more so the recruits are warming up very nicely to Chad. I am sure he appreciates everyone’s concern but from someone in Arkansas who only gets news from Arkansas, you can rest easily that Chad is being welcomed and accepted.

I hope those players know they were on tape. Time for some schlarships not to be renewed.
