Even if it's not true, this report will have Hart's inbox filled with emails from coaches and their agents.

You know goStangs, I thought so at first. Then I thought, well, if he did leak it,
that actually might not be that great of an idea. After all, people tend to trash these big rumors
on social media, chat boards, etc, and a lot are trashing this one.

If he did leak it, he might just regret that move...

sooo actually, I guess I agree with "smells like an agent leak", I just don't think it benefits MB.

and 8 years guaranteed at this price is ridiculous, that ain't happening.

Okay. I'm a little skeptical to say the least. But let's say it is true and more, that SMU runs a promotion with UPS and it goes like gangbusters with an attendance increase at Ford like was seen at Moody. SMU should continue on that line.

Can anyone list potential college baseball and softball and track coaches named Brown - if that is the key - who could come in and set off the buzz this story has done? Please give us their bonafides.

Think positively.

Go Ponies.

Does UPS even run those ads anymore? I don't think they do.

I am sure they do. We are so far behind in Arkansas they are just now promoting tan.

Weis's agent is the gold standard.

at least Mack would show up wearing SMU gear to the games etc. instead of leis and flowery hawaiian shirts. Oh, and I think Mack also wears socks.

Best line from the Fake Mack segment:

"I coached in the shadow of Darryl Royal, so I think I can manage to coach in the shadow of June Jones and Mike Caven.:

per ESPN:

http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/travis- ... st?id=3762

• Everyone I’ve talked to regarding the Dallas Morning News' report that SMU “floated” an eight-year, $4 million-per deal in Mack Brown’s direction tell me it’s the school playing a leverage game. It wants the interested up-and-comers -- and there are several, Clemson OC Chad Morris and Ohio State OC Tom Herman among them -- to see there’s a financial commitment, a willingness to spend. And it also doesn’t hurt to have Brown’s name attached. My question is, wouldn’t eight years -- an unprecedented initial deal length, agents tell me -- be a turnoff to those “rising stars” in the coaching world? The buyout had better be pretty friendly.
