YES
[quote="Insane_Pony_Posse"] ...hopefully Turner and Hart are already getting ducks lined up [quote]
It's time for Turner to go away. He has raised a trillion dollars so we have enough fountains and nowhere else to build on this side of Central. Athletically, we're treading water with this administration. We need new blood.

He should be considered for recruiting coordinator at the very least

How about Charlie Strong? Would Craddock stay as our OC? If so, not a bad combo.

Charlie is very well respected among Texas high school coaches.

I'm not so sure Charlie really is liked by Texas high school Coaches-there are many TXHSFB Coaches who've been stabbin' him in the back since he got here. Considered aloof and not very engaged. Mack Brown was loved by TXHSFB coaches-Strong not so much. Many articles have been written suggesting this
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

We could coax Brown out of retirement. It worked well for us in Bball, maybe he can do the same thing for us in Fball.

Kiffen does have a different level of visibility and experience now that should be considered-but I think he could get a bigger job

I think Coach will interview with Baylor, dance with them a bit, and squeeze SMU for another $1 million. Then he will sit back for 2 more years and watch the implosion of Texas A&M and sweep in there. Baylor will be dead for the next 4 years and I don't think his wife (or QB son) want to live in Waco.

My 2 cents....

If he does leave, the program is on the uptick and maybe we can get someone like Mack Brown who won't see this as a three year project and leave.

Really, all this talk is [deleted] me off. Since when did Baylor and TCU pass us up ......(I know, I know)....

Dude, they have agreed on terms. It's just a matter of Baylor pulling the trigger. The interview sessions are long over.

Major Applewhite - not sure if he's hireable after the indiscretions at Texas

Philip Montgomery - only makes $800K (!) at Tulsa, not sure if he'd leave for another AAC West school, but we could definitely get him a raise

Would hope SMU would cross these off the list. Applewhite for the listed reasons and Montgomery for the crap at Baylor.
