Terrible call.
Sonny is riding the officials hard. This trash first quarter likely reinforces that he’s getting heated and trying to show some emotion to get the guys engaged. Defense has been good but this team overall slept walked through the first quarter. Shane is missing wide open receivers, players aren’t executing, and guys are not motivated to perform. Welcome to the coaching challenges at a school absent from rankings after breaking into the top 25 for the first time.

Give Tulsa another TD after the major screw up by the kicking team. 1 minute into the second quarter and it’s not looking good. Huge offensive possession now. Team is very flat and dejected onthr sideline.

Our player doesn’t have to touch it. It’s essentially an onside kick with a downfield recovery. That ball is live.
