What a wild ride this was. The crumbling PAC 12 would have been a big upgrade, this is a grand slam home run that could not have turned out any better for us.

Needless to say we would have never been invited to the Big Ten or SEC, outside of those two options this is the best possible outcome for us.

I am still in shock and keep thinking it’s not real, so happy for all the fellow Ponies out there.

Now onto what I’ve been waiting for…

F - TCU!
F - The Hillbilly 12!
F - All of those involved in trying to keep us down (and there were many)!

And I don’t care if it’s “tacky” or “classless” or “act like you have been there before”

So Damn happy, and knowing it upsets all the above has me on cloud 9.

Notre Dame currently has a contract that requires them to play five ACC opponents on a rotating basis every year. You’ll likely play the Irish once every three-four years, but it will count as a non-conference game in that instance. At least that’s how it currently works; unsure how realignment will impact the agreement, if at all.

I am now a passive NC State fan....

Sending my $100 in this morning...

Got a quick mental flash of Ron Meyer saying to a bunch of sweaty players in August heat you have to "play big to win big games" or some such.
So much to be thankful for...visionary and committed people who funded our fun on Saturdays, the loyal 1500, Circle of Champions...even Little Ricky.

I feel like celebrating...in a very retired Baptist minister type of way...

Yes. They were smart enough not to buy into the idea that they are prime poaching material. They rejected whatever bill of goods Mack Brown was selling to them and realized that teams are generally poached in pairs. Clemson, Fla St., UNC, Virginia and Miami are all in the front of the line compared to NC State. They were not in the class of the first two or first four out. They voted to keep the conference media deal together. Kudos.

Louisville's most played rival in both revenue sports (and I think baseball as well) is Cincy. And a whole lot of Cincy fans have wanted to be paired with Louisville in the ACC. I think it would be good for the ACC to have Cincy and thus be in OH. Maybe that is in the cards for a bit later.

Actions have consequences. Just bought season basketball and football seats. Though nothing better than seeing TCU upset.

NC State is generally a very cool fanbase.

I remember going to the SMU NC State game in the Cotton Bowl in 68. Levias, Hixson, and Richardson 35 Wolfpack 14.

Buy your basketball season tickets now to get in the queue for 24-25. Home schedule will be awesome -- and tickets in great demand.

What can I say? I was not around in 1968. Nor did I witness the glory of the early 1980s. Even missed out on the immediate post-DP decade. My SMU experience coincided with the first year in the WAC. So its been a good 25 years + for me. This is easily the best news I've heard in all that time. I'm kind of shocked that its actually happened. Very happy.
