Word is there are more cases out there that still aren't being reported. I think there is a very good chance Briles is gone this summer.

Question is, would Morris be their target? Maybe Herman?

couldn't see that...neither want the headache of being under that type of scrutiny in cleaning up a program, while trying to maintain and grow the product. Herman will get a choice of either Aggie or Horn job, whichever opens first....my bet Horn, as Aggies may not want to take another UH coach after Sumlin.

If briles gets canned do they still have to pay out his 10 year contract?

it's all in the contract....if they do, they're going to be a bit short on cash for a while. Get your popcorn ready, but media may move onto the next "Oh, LOOK" story if this plays out much longer. Attention span of the public and the media has shortened, as has been noted in the thread,

Baylor has wisely advised all parties to shut up and let the lawyers talk.

Probably. It would all come down to what his contract says about terminating him "for cause." Given his leverage in the last negotiation, I would bet serious money that the contract has extremely favorable language (to Briles) regarding any attempt to fire him. If it doesn't, he should sue his agent/attorney for malpractice.

Sounds like they need a Special Prosecutor to get to the bottom of this

No mention until you move back to Arkansas.

Wow! I was just thinking in my mind that maybe it was taking so long because they were negotiating buy-out with Briles on that "with cause" contractual provision-reports are Starr was fired 2 weeks ago. It now seems to make some sense-since they would want to get it over with one press conference

Briles, 60, will be fired. Starr has been demoted from his role as university president, but will remain a professor at Baylor’s law school and has been given the position of chancellor. Athletic director Ian McCaw has been placed on probation.

Unbelievable that they would keep Starr around. With his background, he was the person who orchestrated coverups and controlled the media engagement.
