They got lucky once, but if you can't hold on to what you've got after 2 years and look to be losing out to BU after the fiasco they've been through, tells me someone may not have been happy once they could see what really goes on internally at this school.

Given our recent track record...maybe we should rent this time instead of buying.

I would take a look at Dan Enos, the OC at Arkansas. He was a mid major HC before taking the job at UA. Exciting offense, knows Rafe Peavy, and I believe is ready to step up to HC again.

RGT and Hart just need to hire a puppet coach that will not push for facility upgrades and will be happy with 6 or 7 wins a year.

Rare Peavy left Arkansas because the offense was not a spread and did not fit his style. It would be a big mistake to hire Enos. If we want a MAC coach go with P. J. Fleck.

That is so wrong. Rafe left because he had a back injury in the spring and it was not totally healed by fall camp so he was going to be dropped to 3rd team. He knew he would never see the field so he left. Enos is a very sharp offensive mind with a very balanced attack.

Yeah, and you believed that Coach Morris was not leaving SMU for Baylor. And Arkansas is not balanced as they run more than they pass. If Enos would bring that Arkansas I formation to SMU we will not be very successful imo.

Let me ask you this. I was in Little Rock to. It was a cool, crisp day. Not a cloud in the sky. Sky was a light bluish color.

Being wrong on Morris, which is not proven yet but I am willing to concede, has no bearing on Enos as a proven commodity. And actually Arkansas does pass more than run in most games.

Rafe was the next big thing at Arkansas and most fans and boosters wanted him to stay. He saw the writing in the wall with 5 quarterbacks in spring practice and went elsewhere (here). I'll believe Arkansas folks first. I'd be on board with interviewing Enos.

We spent two seasons recruiting players to play Morris' in offense and it is working despite injuries. There are plenty of coaches who run a similar offense available. Switching would be a mistake.

I guess none of you have ever watched an Arkansas game.

Mrydel is right on in this! Enos would be a great hire for us!
