ESPECIALLY with only 32k seats! I would hope the south endzone would be full of SRO ticket holders.

apparently West Virginia returned about 2,000 seats in its allotment. Just about all of TCU's seats have been sold since the stadium was renovated.

Not surprise by the lack of WVU people at TCU. This is the problem with getting schools that aren't even remotely close to your region. I really hope the next realignment that the Big 12 would consider SMU and Houston (bring back the great SWC)! I know it's beyond a longshot and as most people speculated: the only way to get in is if the big boys leave. Nevertheless, it can't hurt to dream.

WVU people I know made no secret of their distaste for Big XII affiliation because of the distance between their school and their new conference mates. They would have preferred ACC and maintaining natural rivalries with Pitt & Syracuse, but the ACC presidents are a bit aloof and felt WVU's academic ratings deemed them unworthy.

I believe WVU would favor Big XII eastern expansion to include the likes of Cincinnati or USF/UCF but I doubt they would ever support SMU or Houston joining the conference (unless, like you say...the big boys move on to greener pastures)

With a game of this magnitude, I am shocked at the thousands of empty seats at the TCU game, especially in the Westside Upper Deck.

The Concourse is better than the Boulevard
