NCAA Football '06 NEW LOGO!!

Postby couch 'em » Wed Jul 13, 2005 12:21 pm

Well I just picked up the game on XBOX, and it has the NEW PONY LOGO ON THE HELMETS!!!

Just kidding..... (had to do it)

It does a pretty good job replicating the team. I haven't played it too extensivly yet, but Bobby Chase catches everything thrown at him. Too bad you can hardly get a pass off due to the ...... lacking...... Oline. Corners are tiny. Massey is good, and Eckert is starting, with Phillips as the backup. We shall see. I'll sim the season tonight and see what it thinks we will end up.

Is it just me or is SMU much better this year in the game? I remember last year I couldn't even move the ball. This year, SMU is actually okay in the game.

They do seem better!
I thought Romo was the 2nd string QB on mine? Bobby does catch everything, and Foster is not to shabby either.
Played around and put in Jessie Henderson.....holly cow he is fast.

Man, my nerdness just hit a whole new level....

Hmmm, Romo could be #2, I didn't really look at the number but I saw the #2 was the fastest of the 3.

Game seems more pass heavy than the last iteration (unfortuantely) but it could be because I'm only playing on Varsity difficulty and I normally play on All-American. (AA is still too easy, but the computer is flat out cheap on heisman. It just makes me mad. Kind of like how yoru opponent suddenly gets better at the end of the 2nd and 4th quarters.)

First Game Played - in Dynasty Mode.

SMU 35
Baylor 21

And I managed to dislocate Ryan Kennedy's shoulder but he will be back for TCU.

Also managed to fumble a kickoff but I got mine back.

In the game it has SMU's away jersies all white. Is that what they wear??? Also The Pony and the stripe on the helmet looks a little pink to me...

I started dynasty mode and made myself a running back and walked on to SMU. Half way through the season and we have only lost to atm....and I was up until it started cheating in the 4th. Second half of the 4th quarter - 4 touchdowns to go with the ZERO they scored before that. They had less than 50 yards of total offense going into the 4th. Cheat cheat cheat!

I thought the same thing...And Im much better on the road than at home

I beat Baylor 35-24..then went into OT and beat TCU 41-34 *ACK* and then I go and kill Texas A&M 24-7 at home...Weird But Im ranked 25th going into the week vs Rice (8-0) Went to Double OT with ECU

SMU is much better this year than last...

Played a game with the 1980 SMU team and those helmets were just so much better...

I played over the internet last night against one of my friends - who happens to be a Marshall fan. He beat me 34-0. :(

So far I am 2-0, barely squeaked by the froggies. I also found this template to do covers for the game. Here is a very crude attempt at an SMU cover. I didn't have a whole lot of pictures to choose from, but I think that one works well.
