I bet they limit USC's media guide by an additional 5 pages...
Now that's funny!

It sure would be a shame if a class guy like Spurrier was saddled with sanctions brought about by that other class guy (Holtz .... who, according to a SC reporter on the radio this afternoon, cheated at Minnesota, Arkansas and Notre Dame before he got to Columbia.)

Cheating wasn't the problem for Lou at Ark. Ark never worries about getting caught so that wasn't the issue. Lou wanted ownership in a Coors distributorship (worth millions) and Frank (as in Broyles) wasn't pleased that Lou would make vastly more than he. After all, Ark is a smallish state and their is only room for egomanic. Frank won, Lou was put to run.

Perhaps in anticipation of working with a reduced number of scholarships, Steve Spurrier sent letters to 7-8 guys this week letting them know their scholarships have not yet been renewed. Spurrier's only comment was "my obligation is to make sure our 85 scholarships go to the most deserving guys". Might also have had something to do with those "voluntary" summer workouts. I wonder if Bennett isn't following that same philosophy. Hey, if it gets SMU football back on track, I'm all for it. We need guys who are committed to winning and are willing to put in the necessary work to get better.
