DESPITE OUTGAINING THEIR OPPONENT 204-182,
THE SMU MUSTANGS DROPPED A TOUGH 10-7
DECISION TO THE BAYLOR BEARS, SATURDAY,
SEPTEMBER 13, AT FLOYD CASEY STADIUM.

SMU HELD THE BEARS TO JUST 182 YARDS OF
TOTAL OFFENSE, BUT TURNOVERS AGAIN
PROVED COSTLY AS BU RECORDED TWO
SCORING DRIVES ON A COMBINED 24 YARDS.

THE BEARS SCORED EARLY IN THE THIRD QUARTER
AFTER ANOTHER MUSTANG MISQUE, AS BAYLOR
SCORED FROM FOUR YARDS OUT FOR THE
FINAL 10-7 MARGIN.

I would like our chances, if we could hold them to 182 this year.

I remember that game-2 bad teams playing bad football. Baylor simply capitalized on SMU mistakes moreso than SMU capitalized on Baylor's. 182 yds is a pretty pathetic offensive showing but 204 is nothing to be proud of either. This years game should feature 2 much improved teams (i know the 2005 Bears are going to be alot better than the 2003 version) and this time SMU has the home field so this game is a toss-up.

Well, I agree it's a toss-up game. I still think we'll probably see two bad teams playing bad football. Maybe not "as bad" as 2003.

I said 'much improved' and 'alot better'. Those two are not necessarily the same as good. From where these teams were in '03, improved is probably still kinda bad. Hopefully they will play good football and we will get an entertaining shootout type of game that is fun to watch. Bad teams don't always play bad-see our win over A&M in '04 and over Colorado in '03.

Your right! We stayed with Texas Tech until the final whistle. The same team that crushed Nebraska and TCU.

This game is a definate toss-up. On paper, Baylor has made more strides than SMU, but we all know paper means nothing (Baylor-A&M, SMU-Tech).

I'm looking forward to his game greatly. Read the sig. Sic 'em.
Baylor vs. SMU. It's not just a game. It's Holy War.

If SMU v. Baylor is Holy War....what does that make SMU v. TCU or Baylor v. TCU?
