Eh. You figure they are giving SMU three points for being at home; neutral site being a touchdown game. Let's be honest, Baylor is the worst team in a better conference. They haven't won on the road since the Clinton administration. Guy Morris has back to back 3-8 seasons, but really one of those wins every year is over a I-AA team.

The only reasons to pick Baylor over SMU are (1) they are in a better conference (even if they are the worst team in it); (2) they beat A&M (even though they did nothing with that win after that); and (3) they beat SMU two years ago (even though it was at home and only by a field goal and was an otherwise pathetic performance).

Line is about right. It might go up a little, but not much.

How many games have we won in the month of September since Ford stadium opened - at home or on the road? How many games has Bennett been our coach that we have won in September? When was the last time SMU won a game on the road?

When was the last time you said something positive about your school and/or athletic department? Every team in the country is tied for first place right now. No need to start etching the gravestones just yet, is there?

When was the last time something positive happened with our football program? One winning season in 15 years, a zero win season just 2 years ago, 6 wins in the last 3 years .....................

I'll take SMU cuz Baylor hasn't won on the road in forever. I like Houston b/c I think Briles is a hell of a coach. Of course, so is Oregon's coach and they have better athletes. Think it will be a close one though. Minnesota will kill Tulsa. take Boise St plus the points. OU always starts off a little slow. They will win by 17 so take TCU plus the point. A&M opened as a 1.5 point favorite. Guess all the Clemson fans have been placing bets. I'll take A&M. Miami beat FSU cuz FSU just lost their best player to injury.

I like your picks Bocephus.

Only game I differ is Georgia. They are at home and favored less than a touchdown against Boise State.

Maybe we can find SF FAN and have him make us money early in the season....

Good luck...

This isn't going to be a typical road game for BU. They probably won't have the majority of fans like Tech did last year, but they should have about 1/3rd of the fans at Ford, which is much different than going into Lincoln and having 200 BU fans in the stands versus 80,000 in red.
