What are your plans?

Postby DiamondM75 » Mon Aug 08, 2005 2:41 pm

I was wondering what everyone plans to do when we beat BU by 21?

Tear down goalposts? (oops, can't do that anymore)

Celebrate and get drunk? (where)

Just go home and wait to read all about it on Sunday morning?

Crash the boulevard and start a celebration tailgateing party?

Others?
Just send 'da money.

I will be a little more subdued than I was after beating Vanderbilt by 37 to open the 1990 season. (1-10).

I have Baylor as a win. 21 is the stretch for me. Can't remember many double digit wins. As for celebrations, on the field, then march to Dallas Hall, picking up stragglers on the Boulevard.

Wake up and hope I haven't missed the real game.

No brainer! Back to the tent to drink some more on the BLVD!

Well, IF that does happen.... I would bet that the Boulevard would be a party place till the cops made people leave. Then we could go to 1st and 10 and close that down then go home and party with the family till the sun comes up. Read the paper and then sleep with happy dreams.

The key word is IF.

Go Mustangs.

Continue to complain about the coach, AD, schedule, history, death penalty, uniforms, media guide, and heat. Why let a victory get in the way of some perfectly good whinning.

As Andy Griffith said in "What It Was...Was Football!", I'm gonna slap the guy on the back sitting next to me at Ford Stadium and say, "Buddy, have another drink!"

Well, maybe complaining about Mr. Copeland just a little. Too many long walks, and waits at Shreveport, and the Cotton Bowl. Other stuff along the same lines too numerous to mention. You had to be TOUGH to be a non season ticket holder Mustang fan before Ford Stadium.

Now, I am a season ticket holder, and get free rides on DART to the games. We'll have to catch an early shuttle bus back to Mockingbird Station for the train back to Plano. Don't EVEN want to be in that canyon at the station with nobody around. Wonder if they'll be more Mustang fans on the train, or Bear fans. Remember being outnumbered 30 - 1 on the train by OK ST. fans 2 years ago.

Then after the game, a late night pizza, and beer party while we watch the saved game highlights off of the local news channels. Make that a BEER, and pizza party if we win, and then we look up the game story on smumustangs.com. 8) :!:

Stake a claim to my spot on The Boulevard. Who cares if it's a sanctioned party place? We MAKE it a party place for the second time of the day!

Go MUSTANGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What highlights on the local t.v. channels? The only one that will show them is channel 5. Forget channel 8; channel 11 might.

1. It is hard to show good highlights when the game is not on TV. All the local stations can do is have a cameraman there to shoot footage from the sideline or endzone. Those shots will never be as compelling as the footage of a game broadcast on television using multiple cameras;

2. I can't think of a game that WFAA didn't show highlights.
