Walk-ons

Postby MrMustang1965 » Wed Aug 17, 2005 12:00 am

Wednesday's DMN says:

"The football team has added 14 walk-ons since the start of fall practice."

Any word on who they are and which positions?

^Believe me, LF68 one conversation with Bennett (and I don't care where your alligance lie), you will be checking every university credential you have hoping for some kind of waiver that says that you can play... I really feel for the youth of America when this guy can't recruit the best and the brightest.... but then again almost EVERY teenager is exactly the same as everyone of our friends when we were teenagers. "Sucks!" or "Awesome!" and nothin' in between.

MEANING: Why the heck are kids not with it enought to realise that it would be "just as cool" if not "more cool" to go to a place where you could really make a difference? I mean Bennet could talk a penguin into walking into the saharah... why are teenagers so different? "Oh SMU, sucks. I'd rather ride the pine for ninety five years at UT, then play there..."

Whatever, Bennett makes me wish that I had any sort of athletic prowess. He just, I don't know, makes you believe. Please, high schoolers, LISTEN!

One walk-on is tight end J.B. Hill of Colleyville Heritage. He was supposed to be pretty good in high school.
I don't know who the rest are.

With the exception of Rowan, I think all of those guys were on the roster last year, as 2004 redshirts.
