The Fort Worth Bowl will feature one of the top three teams from the Mountain West conference from 2006-09.
The deal also makes it possible to pick TCU regardless of where it finishes in the league. :roll:

Hey, BOISE STATE had the Bronco Bowl for many years...until they were so good that someone else HAD to pick them up...

We would jump at the chance to play in a bowl any where if we were eligible. Might be worth organizing a Ford Bowl if that is what it takes to get to play.

There sure has been a noticeable absence of Froggies on ponyfans. Guess they're all too busy looking up air fares and booking hotels on priceline.com, expedia.com and hotels.com for those 'away' games in the MWC. I'm sure we'll see them back on here as Sept. 10 nears.

And LHP is right -- that bowl is a complete joke. Don't get me wrong -- I'd be there if we were in it. But I'd also fly to Boise or Boston or Biloxi to see the Ponies in a bowl game.

I kind of like the thought of SMU playing TCU in the Ft Worth Bowl in 2006 especially since we won't be meeting in the regular season
