BCS Cartel strikes again.

I know there was another thread earlier regarding our (C-USA) losing the Liberty Bowl tie-in for our league champion. Did anyone read the article in the DMN about this today?

The most significant comment was made by the SEC Commish.

<The Liberty Bowl appears out, especially after SEC Commissioner Mike Slive said two weeks ago that he preferred his teams play other BCS conferences in bowl games.> Quote from the article.

Is it just me, or does that reek of collusion and anti-trust violations?

What really scares the SEC is for their #7 or #8 to play the CUSA champion and get their butts kicked in a bowl game. They would rather take their chances with the BE #4 or #5. What thrilling match-up those will be. Connecticut vs. South Carolina. Mississippi State vs. Rutgers. One can dream, and it of course keeps the money in the cartel. Nice to see another CUSA fail to deliver their local bowl game to the conference. UTEP, Memphis, SMU, and UCF are all looking rather puny right now.
