Baylor Sells Initial Allotment

Postby Stallion » Thu Aug 25, 2005 6:39 pm

according to BaylorFans.com Baylor has already sold their initial allotment to the SMU game and they are now selling tickets to Baylor fans between the 45 and goal line if the section numbers mentioned by the Baylor fans are accurate. I bet for every 1 ticket sold in Waco Batlor will sell 2 tickets in Dallas either at the ticket office or in a walk-up crowd. Is it too much to ask that SMU have 15,000 of its own fans in attendance?

So that means so far Baylor has sold 5000 through their ticket office, the usual D1 allotment for o.o.t. teams. Problem is, they are actively pushing their minions over at Baylorfans.com to buy them through SMU & use the DMN discount to get them 1/2 price. This means less $$ too.

Judging by all the half-price deals & specials, I guess there wasn't a game this year with a specialty price tag put on tickets.

well, i think it's safe to assume that most of us will be there. i'm coming from NY and a good pal is coming from NC, so we're doing what we can. otherwise, i guess we can hope that either (a) the baylor fans get lost and end up at HPHS stadium, or (b) on their way to SMU they pass a baptist church and just can't pass up the chance to 'worship', or (c) whatever number of unaffiliated joe q. dallas folks that take advantage of cheap tix and show up like red and blue more than green and gold.

if none of that happens, and they still have more fans there than we do, we'll just have to yell louder.

What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

I don't think we'll have a problem winning on October 1st by 20.

Congrats on beating us last year, enjoy it for the next several years.

Reminiscing from the last Cotton Bowl (Tn 38-7)...
As I recall from watching the game, is it true A$M didn't get a 1st down until the Ag band march 10 yards at hafltime?

QUESTION, AG (it's okay to ask your sister/fiance):

After we beat BU, shouldn't we be favored on 9/17??? BU 35 A$M 34

please don't refer to us as crewcuts... I hate the [deleted] corps. They are not representative of A&M. 1500 corps fags versus 42,000 normal students.

My buddy got me and him tickets today for the SMU-Baylor game and the "closest" we were told we could get to the BU section was 224. They said everything between there and 228 had been given to the BU athletic dept or had already been sold. I tried to get down in 124, but was told that had been given as well.

I don't know how y'all sell tix to your stadium, but it seems like there will be a good following of BU folks there. Can't wait to hit up the boulevard.

Remember, folks: it's Labor Day Weekend. Any excuse to get out of Waco is a good one for the Bear faithful. Last one to leave McClennan County, turn out the lights!
