Uniforms

Postby GrapevineMustang » Sun Jun 09, 2002 6:48 pm

That article on the home page that Wesley Medlock wrote said we're getting new uniforms. Anyone know what they're going to look like? I didn't really like the Arizona-East look we've been throwing out there the last couple of years. I hope we go back to the royal blue from a few years ago.

Also, the out of town pants will be blue. I think that's going to look neat.

Sounds a little like BYU.
Will have to see that before I pass judgement.

Eventually every team looks like some other team at some point. At least we won't look like we are out there running around in our longjohns anymore. I have even thought that silver pants like the Patriots use might look pretty good with a our white and our blue jersy.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

At first I didn't think they should change Southern Cal's uniforms because they were one of the best in the country. But in 2002, they are going to unvail a "throw-back" version of their uniforms of the 60's and 70's.

Don't feel bad, I had to have somebody show me how to post pictures too. Here is what you need to do:

1)Find an image. Then "right click" on that image. It will bring up a gray box. Go down and click on "Properties".
2)This will bring up another gray box. Go down to "Address: (URL)". This is the website of the picture. Copy the website. You will need to paste it later.
3)Now when you post something on Ponyfans, simply type

That should post the picture. Hope that helps.

since the pants will have wider 'blue' stripes...will the helmets have wider ones, too, so they'll match & be symmetrical?

what's the latest?

BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
