Congrats to the ponies

Postby BuxtonTCU » Sun Nov 27, 2005 6:13 pm

Just wanted to say I am glad to see the SMU program finally making a turn. I just hope it isn't a one time thing. I would really like to see the TCU/SMU rivalry pick up again, especially after this year

I hear around the rumor mill that TCU and SMU have talked about having a 12th game next season against eachother just for the heck of it ... especially since you now have the iron skillet.

Congrats on an improving season and I hope it doesn't stop there... see you in 2007 (hopefully earlier).

SMU already has their 4 game non-conference schedule filled.

Going to have to wait till 2007. Good luck in the Houston Bowl.

Schedules have been known to change...there is no reason the 2006 schedule could not be changed before next September. The biggest obstacle would probably be finding a date that we could change the opponent with a date TCU could change or add a game.

SMU would drop anyone on that non-conference slate for a date with TCU...especially the I-AA team. It's all about working out the dates.

I for one wouldn't mind dropping TTech for TCU. I already tried and failed to talk my wife into going to Lubbock for the Tech game.

Tech would probably be a tough one to change as it is part of a four year deal I think.

well whehter or not we could do something to play next year, my original point was just to congratulate you on the improvements this season and that I hope it continues.

I doubt it. I think we need the 'free'-er win at this point.
