Top 10: Nevada

Postby Letterman » Wed Oct 30, 2002 3:32 pm

From the home office, high on The Hilltop, the Top 10 reasons SMU will beat Nevada:

10. Larry Edmondson will revert back to LaTech game plan, calling passes on first down
9. Nation's leading receiver, Nate Burleson, misses game because of overwhelming desire to visit Burleson, Texas
8. Wolves are nasty, until they get kicked in the teeth by a Mustang
7. Nevada players dazzled into a catatonic trance by Dallas' big-city attractions, like paved roads and electricity
6. After seeing Mustang Maniac mascot, Nevada QB Zach Threadgill overcome by hysterical giggling; throws five interceptions
5. Two words: Keylon Kincade
4. SMU LB Vic Viloria mistakenly identified as mob hitman; Wolf Pack takes a knee on every offensive play
3. Under-inflated footballs derail Nevada kicking, passing games
2. You can't stop Allan Adami, you can only hope to contain him

And the #1 reason SMU will beat Nevada:

1. No Kretschmer = No Chance

#6 is pretty good too!
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

While I think this list is great, I am pretty sure Reno, NV has plenty of elctricity to run the neon and the casinos. So maybe changing 7 to something about getting lost in the big 5 construction and no mountains to tell you which way is east or west.
