Smu-Tech Game... (Plan Ahead)

Postby Special_Delivery_Smu_Fans » Mon Jan 20, 2003 6:19 pm

I know it is very early, but if you plan on flying out to see the Ponies play at Texas Tech there is no time like the present to reserve your hotel. (Sat Aug 30)

All these small college towns run out of hotel room availability early, so I just made mine.

We are staying at the Hampton Inn 6 miles from Texas Tech. Make your reservation now, they wont charge your credit card until game day!-->(Hampton Inn - Lubbock - 1-800-426-7866)

What time is Kick-off? I got the Hampton Inn reservation; now I gotta plan some Southwest transportation.

Berger I assume it would have to be a night game since it is in August. I think it is a 7PM Kickoff, but that is not confirmed. The Tech site still says "TBA".

I tried to get an on-line Southwest Airlines ticket today, and the Southwest web-site says you can only book on-line through June at this time. I am going to call them. It would be nice if they had one of those "Friends Fly Free" promotions. Maybe the Mustang Club will have a trip where you could choose "Air Only"?

See ya at the Hampton Inn Lubbock!

Go Ponies!

...warning:that's Labor Day Weekend and the Networks move those early games all over the place so be careful unless you want to spend a Saturday Nite in Lubbock with nothing to do. Those dates and times are subject to change so get a refundable ticket.
