R-B attendance

If I had to guess I would say around 3000 people were at Ford Stadium. That may even be low. The middle sections of the west side were pretty full.
I for one am very happy with what I see as the biggest turn out in decades. Just another example of the growing fan base for SMU football.

I think the good turnout had more to do with the weather and perhaps fan friendly Ford Stadium more than anything else and I don't think it was that much greater than prior years except when there was poor weather. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't yet feel the rising tide of Mustang fans you refer to-Fan support is flat to falling from my perspective. Now Texas Tech made things look a little better but that's an illusion.

I've seen R-B games for at least 10 years and this one had more than ever. I remember one way back in 82 or so that was an alumni game and it drew a few more.
The talk is up the people of Dallas ARE talking more about SMU football. It's a little like politics. Grass Roots The Bennett hire and the coaching community are first then their friends. And then all along the path, the Mustang alumni base will return. Then - Just normal Dallas residents.

SMU - It's Swelling up BIG

I'd say 3,000 is a legitimate estimate, if not even a little low.

Good to hear Dat was supporting his old coach!
