PERUNA'S GRAVE?

Postby MrMustang1965 » Mon Apr 21, 2003 3:22 am

I'll admit that I haven't taken a close look but what happened to Peruna's grave that used to be outside of Ownby Stadium on the southwest corner? Was it exhumed and placed elsewhere when Ford Stadium was built?

Yeah, it was moved up by the flag poles in Ford...they kept the statue and everything.
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

...in the Southeast corner of Ford Stadium on the concourse level ? between the jumbotron and the east bleachers.

Thanks, Abezontar and Peruna Punch! I'll go look next time I'm at Ford!

It is easy to spot, a second-rate concrete memorial fitting of a community college or high school, but NOT fitting for SMU. Peruna’s gravesite should be bronzed.

Also near Peruna is also a plaque with a quote from Mohandas Gandhi. Gandhi was one of history’s greatest spokespersons for non-violence. That is all well and good, but odd to place at a football stadium.
