sounds hopeful, maybe we catch a break that Banowsky is a Dallas based guy with Big 12 ties. Maybe SMU's efforts with things like the Athletic Forum and Doak Walker Award will finally payoff. I'm still skeptical though of history repeating itself. The more SMU postures and sets expectations, the bigger the disappoinment if not invited anywhere. Its also damaging to the WAC because SMU is now doing exactly what Fresno has done in pandering to the MWC. We better hope the rug doesnt get pull from under us this time.

I'm glad we are being formally mentioned. Sounds like he is quite concerned about TCU leaving.

From what I can tell in Southland's post there is going to be some time before all this plays out but it does put a lot of pressure on the team to do well this year.

I love the line from North Dallas Forty when Gent is having a conversation with Schram (I think) that goes:

I feel like I am living this conversation daily.
