DMN marketing story

I'd be curious to know how SMU has been able to sell so many new clients on the idea of sponsoring. I'm thrilled that they're doing so well, and hopefully the increased revenue will be visible in improvements to the athletic program.

Sounds like some good things are happening. I wasnt too impressed with the singing competition at the bball games, but at least they are trying things. 17 new sponsors is tremendous work.

I agree with you, Hoop Fan - very good. I'm sure some of the new sponsors are on board through trade arrangements (school gives gameday advertising space to a restaurant in exchange for catering at alumni events or something), but surely some of them are contributing to the athletic department coffers. This can be seen as nothing but beneficial for the athletic department and for the school in general.
