Postby WorldStang » Mon Jul 28, 2003 3:41 pm

Anyone have any idea how sales are going? I've renewed with a block of 12 others.. just curious if things are up or down since in the last few months.

thanks..

A call to Shawn at the AD Sales & Marketing Office brought this info:

As of today (7/28), renewals of season tickets and new season ticket sales are at about 5,000 (ballpark figure). The goal this year is 6,000. He didn't have any revenue figures available at the moment. However, he did say that the 'Red Plan' is doing very well. A $49 package for the OSU, Rice and UTEP games. About 400 of those have been sold, so far...many to OSU alumni who will then - maybe - come back for those other games...or pass the tickets on to family, friends or business associates. Single game ticket sales begin Aug. 18. Shawn says things are 'beginning to pick up' with sales on all levels. During the spring/early summer, he says, most folks are thinking about other things besides football (vacations mostly!) but, as the summer begins to wind down, thoughts begin to turn to football and ticket sales begin to increase.
