BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

That would be the best way for it to come down. However, the real issue for the BCS is what Congress does after the hearings. Congress could turn it over to the Justice Department to investigate. Perhaps it is all legal but having Juctice dept. lawyers running around the BCS might cause a little concern. Next, Conges could ask the IRS to look into the situation. Once again, a Federal agency with very real powers to investigate running up and down the BCS halls might cause a few sleepless nights.

Last, Congress can change or enact laws. And as we all know, the unintended consequences of Congress making laws concern the BCS could ruin all of college football.

I don't see Congress doing anything except holding hearings preening for the cameras and telling their constituents that they had hearings on this great issue. Then, they'll pass the buck to the FTC or the Justice Department to investigate and nothing will happen. The only way anything happens is if the non-BCS schools file suit. Even then, only four have any significant damages. SMU, TCU, UH, and Rice. Why, because they were in a conference with BCS schools who conspired to leave to take money away from these four schools.
