Parking for OSU Game

Postby Poke Em » Thu Sep 18, 2003 11:55 pm

Any tips for the SMU crowd on parking for the OSU game? I have lived in Dallas for some time but have not been to a game at SMU to know the parking situation. Will be arriving about 5:30 or so.

I'm an OSU grad so have to pull for my team on Saturday. But, as a Dallas resident always root for SMU! Good luck to you -- should be a fun atmosphere. Thanks

EXIT Mockingbird, turn EAST toward Greenville (away from SMU), turn left past the new shopping area, then LEFT at the Mockingbird Station DART parking, there is a shuttle, or it's a short 1/2 mile walk.

Alternatively, (this may be better due to traffic) if you are coming from the NORTH...

EXIT Mockingbird, take the U-TURN back North and stay on access road until YALE, turn EAST, over the DART TRACKS, then just past the GREEN ELEPHANT, take a RIGHT and follow that SOUTH until the DART Mockingbird Station Parking Lot.

Also - you should come early and wander the boulevard (on Bishop) - it has the makings of a great College tradition - and since we picture ourselves as civilized private school types - it will be fun for you rather then dangerous in that "deliverance" kind of way you might be used to in the Big 12.

The "deliverance" atmosphere is thankfully confined to Norman...

Call it deliverance or whatever but it's a pretty good league to be a part of. 50,000 + at most games and great atmospheres with nationally ranked teams knocking each other off! Gotta love it.
Thanks Pony fans for the tips on parking. Good luck tonight. Really do want to see your program get back on track. Oklahoma State fans can relate to hard times but we've come back and if we can then there is hope for your program too.

True, the Big 12 is a very good league. But trust me, you won't want to blink when you're on The Boulevard. The view is jaw-dropping.
