Balanced offense

Postby PK » Fri Sep 19, 2003 2:55 pm

For some reason everyone seems to think that all we do is run KK plays. In the Tech game we had 40 rushing plays and 44 passing plays and in the Baylor game we had 34 rushing plays and 26 passing plays. Since our rushing plays of late have been more sucessful than our passing plays, we tend to start thinking that all we do is rush the ball. Looks to me like we are trying to have a balanced offense, but our passing game is just not clicking yet.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Making use of the tight ends as receivers will help balance the offense. They can find seams in the defense, and they have the size to make catches without being run over - especially Kennedy.
