Homecoming game prediction

Postby 91Stang » Mon Oct 23, 2000 4:14 pm

It's simple, really. We've both had rough years. We both have young teams. We both ....

Look, our athletes are better than theirs, and the homecoming crowd will be a boost.

SMU 42.1
Nevada 29.4

I think each team's defense will perform about the same they have all season.

Right now, I see us beating Rice. That is about it. Hopefully Rice will try to run on Schumann's Defense, that is all we can hope for.

We will not beat rice. No way, no how. Were going 1-10. It is just unavoidable.

Perhaps you should change your name from All4SMU to AllAgainst SMU. That's not the kind of support this team needs. The Mustangs fight their hearts out each week, and they need all PonyFans behind them.

I do not think All4SMU has turned on us. I think he is just frustrated, as are we all.

The players are working hard, but I think some focus is lost during games. Just watch the sidelines. If I were down there playing I would be pissed. Most of the guys are, but there are a few that lolygag on the bench and laugh and talk. This causes a domino effect and it spreads. This is the coaches fault. They should have the players in the right frame of mind and intensity.

I got off the topic, but I think people are saying the players are so devoted and playing their hearts out, too often. There needs to be 100% focus on the sidelines by the whole team. Coaches, this is up to you to get their minds on the game.

Jettison,
What are the decimals for? Just a little fun?

Don't get me wrong PonyFans, I am still behind this team. I just like to see things from each way. There can be some negative attitude, after all we are 1-6.

I'm with you SMUponyFan 100%
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Nevada has given up 295 points in 7 games. Surely SMU will score some points this time.

SMU has given up 206 points in 7 games. I think Nevada might score some too.

I was just practicing my math skills. I scored a 780 on the SAT math... maybe I can be admitted to SMU and play football?

But I'm out of shape and I probably suck. Just like the majority of these whiners and grumpy old farts that keep complaining about this season out of frustration.

I respect the players AND coaches for what they go through and the time they spend preparing 12 months out of the year, and am willing to support them no matter what their record is for the 2000 season.

Let's play for a little pride this week!
