Abbreviate much?

I am looking forward to the game. I have been up to Tulsa 3 times for the WAC tournaments but never watched a football game there.

Where would be a good place to eat after the game?

Cool thanks for the suggestions. Not sure about the cheerleaders, but the band couldn't go.

Did Nevada players throw stuff at the fans? Wow.

Hey HHF -

There are some folks on this site who have done incredibly detailed ratings of burger joints around Dallas .... what's the best BURGER near the Tulsa campus? (And if you could offer an address, or directions from the stadium, etc., that would be cool. I'll try to make a run over before or after the game, and I bet the Burger Guys could offer a review.)

Thanks

Kilkenny's wouldn't happen to SERVE a beer called Kilkenny, would it? I had some during my semester abroad in Australia and DAMN it was tasty!

As a Pony fan in exile up here, lemme offer a few culinary suggestions. First off, the area in the immediate vicinity of Skelly is pretty-much a ghost town where food's concerned. Hardwood's across from the stadium is the only worthwhile eating establishment within walking-distance. The best burger: Harden's, easily. It's an old-fashioned drive-in kind of joint. Go two miles east from the Reynolds Center on 11th to Sheridan, turn north & it's in the neighborhood of 4th or 5th Street on the left. You can actually hear your arteries crackle as you eat, and it's all-good. For post-game libations, good grub, & a look at some Tulsa hotties, head west from the Reynolds Center on 11th 2 miles to Peoria, turn left. When you get below 31st Street, you're in the Brookside District--will remind you pretty much of Lower Greenville back in the day. The Brook (beer & bar food), In The Raw (some damned fine sushi & staff, by anyone's standards), Monte's for steaks, and another fine little burger joint--Weber's--all await you there, among others. Also, continuing south on Peoria will run you right into I-44 & the road back home.

Travel safely, see ya here, go Ponies!

oh, and that's a negative on the Kilkenny at Kilkenny's, although there's a damned-decent pint of Guinness there for you. Certainly worth checking out.

I'd stay away from Hardwood for food--their menu is anemic these days and they have the second-worst waitstaff in Tulsa...

Can anybody tell me how much tickets are? Or will I have to "mustang stealth" my way into the stadium?
