SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Good to see him getting some pub. Any (positive) attention that goes to the offensive line usually goes to the tackles, but Reindl's been a stud since he got in the lineup. And come to think of it, in all the games I've seen him play (or listened to on the radio), I don't think I've ever him blamed for a penalty flag. I'm sure he has, but they've been few and far between. Very smart player, in addition to being tough as nails.

Nice story - wish we could have a few more years from #69.
