SMU PASSING RECORDS ----->PASSING RECORDS
CAREER COMPLETIONS Anyone think KP has a shot at this? 1. Chuck Hixson, 1968-70 ____________________ 642 2. Mike Romo, 1989-92 ______________________ 601 3. Mike Ford, 1977-80 _______________________ 475 4. Ramon Flanigan, 1992-97 __________________ 438 5. Justin Willis, 2006-08 _____________________ 424 6. Bo Levi Mitchell, 2008-09 __________________ 385 7. Dan Freiburger, 1989-92 ___________________ 349 8. Josh McCown, 1998-2000 _________________ 340 9. Fred Benners, 1949-51 ____________________ 266 10. Don Meredith, 1957-59 ___________________ 241 I think If he keeps the starting roll and doesn’t get hurt I can see him breaking it late in his Junior year. He’s averaged 19.2 a game so far in 7 games So based solely on those numbers with 135 going into his second year. It would take him 33.4 additional games to achieve the record of 643. Toss in the 12 regular season games per year one CUSA ship and two bowl games that is 653.4 his last game of his junior year. Re: SMU PASSING RECORDSBenners and Meredith played in the era of frosh ineligible. If Padron stays healthy and does not get beaten out down the line for the QB job, he will break the record in the middle of his Junior season.
Re: SMU PASSING RECORDSI agree. Barring injury, Padron should rewrite the SMU passing record book in just about every category.
PONY UP!
Re: SMU PASSING RECORDSFrosh were not eligible with Hixson either, so he has a 135 head start on Chuck.

Re: SMU PASSING RECORDSSo he needs 777 to really do it. That’s a nice set of numbers!
Re: SMU PASSING RECORDS
Agreed, Nice Number... SMU - IT'S YOUR TURN
FIRE JUNE JONES USC Trojan for Life and SMU Dad!
Re: SMU PASSING RECORDS ----->You actually subtracted 135 from 642 and got 777?

Re: SMU PASSING RECORDS ----->
New math. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: SMU PASSING RECORDS ----->
I think, he correctly added it, rather than subtracted. If KP would need 642 in his remaining 3 years to equal the historical record (soph to sr years, as you pointed out), then his freshman completions added to that would yield his total. anyway, that's what it seems like to me.
Re: SMU PASSING RECORDS ----->
Thank you.
Re: SMU PASSING RECORDS ----->More interesting question is where will he be on that list after this season?
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: SMU PASSING RECORDS ----->
"In 38 games at Hawaii, Brennan started 35 times. He completed 1,292-of-1,584 passes (70.39%)" http://www.steveclarksondreammaker.com/ ... ennan.html I think, he has a good chance of shattering the existing records. KP seems to have at least the same degree of accuracy as Brennan did in JJ's system, and I think his attempts/completions per game will jump from last year, given that he is now more comfortable in the system and has shown that he can take care of the ball. Maybe he'll reach it early in his jr year? Last edited by cutter on Tue Aug 03, 2010 2:23 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: SMU PASSING RECORDS ----->
no problem. I do the same thing when I'm low on caffeine.
Re: SMU PASSING RECORDS ----->
You are correct sir and that would be a good way to look at it, but they will not. Once he passes the 642 he will have the record. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
