Possible Offensive Line help!

Postby BleedingRed+Blue » Mon Nov 27, 2000 8:05 pm

From Sunday's Star Telegram

Scott Dale - Grace Prep - 6-4 - 280
Grace Prep is a very small private school. Does anyone know if this kid has any talent/strength, or has just been through the buffet a few too many times?

Sterling Doty - Stephenville - 6-1 - 265
Stephenville has produced some decent offensive linemen in recent years.

James Draper - Arlington - 6-4 - 282
I like that size. May be worth a scholarship.

Brian [deleted] - SW Christian - 6-7 - 250- (actually a TE)
Big target. Hope he's more of a receiver than David LaFleur. Although a guy that big might be a hell of a blocker.

Stephenville has another Offensive Lineman, from what I hear, named Smithwicke(sp?). Seems he's over 300 lbs. and no one is giving him a look. Given the way Stephenville's kids are taught and conditioned, I hope our guys at least take a look at him.

Any idea how tall that Smithwicke kid is?

Folks here say 6'3" to 6'4". The question is his speed and quickness. But Stephenville's OL is well schooled. And their folks know conditioning. Hope our folks will contact Coach Copeland about him. We need to knock in a long putt every now and then.

We need to go after this guy. Send Gov. Bill Clements after him.

The tcu booster who admitted to paying Kenneth Davis back in the Wacker days. The FWST recently did a big article on him. He is back very, very active in tcu affairs. Although, I'm sure he's sufficiently sorry.

Maybe the NCAA will check TCU out. I am sure there are plenty of illegal things going on over there.
