State of the Industry

Postby No Cal Pony » Thu Jan 01, 2004 2:23 pm

Interesting section of the Mustang Club flyer. Numbers don't ssem to always match what I've read elsewhere. nd says $38.5, but I thought it was $56.3 mil. stanford, which wasn't listed has a budget of $57.5 mil. tenn is $56.1 mil., not the $51.3 mil as listed. For those like CP, who might see Spurrier go to duke, unc has a budget of $42.1 mil. (Plus they just spent $50 mil upgrading Kenan Stadium.)

At $18.3 mil., of course we are getting crushed. To the point though, I didn't realize this was all an "industry."

Welcome to the poor side of town. Ironic isn't it given the SES of the SMU student body that we should be among the poverty stricken athletic programs.
