I was in town Friday afternoon on campus and stopped in to see Heritage Hall. I needed the "fix." A buddy who was with me asked where were all the trophies?

Heritage Hall is still unfunded. We had no way to display ANYTHING until the Dallas Museum of Art agreed to let us borrow some display cases.

I am astounded that there have been no funds for the Heritage Hall. What is there is impressive. If it were complete it could a recruiting attraction.

I know the plans included large flat panel screens showing replays of famous SMU games and player highlights, in addition to the traditional displays.

A committee exists for this, as do plans. Funding must be the issue.

Our C-USA entrance fee is probably putting a pinch on things such as this.

There are SOME funds already in the cookie jar and, of course, the potential for a whole slew of dollars BUT we've got some gray hairs and a few blue hairs who won't get off their arses to make things happen. They were appointed (and self-appointed) for prestige, but they don't have a clue. There is absolutely NO good reason this project has been delayed other than pure laziness!!!

I agree that this needs to get the funding in order, to make an already-good display into a great one. But if it's being delayed in order to save our pennies for our C-USA entry fee, that's a wise allocation of funds. Let's get the C-USA fee out of the way, then build up Heritage Hall into the temple it can be.
