That sucks. I'm sorry to see him go, but I'm sure it will be nice to be back near his family. Good luck at UH.

He sat at our table at the Kick-off luncheon as an incoming freshman. Really good guy - was an outstanding high school all-round athlete.

Clay is the guy who blew up Jeremy Kerley right before he got into the open field with a lot of room to run.

Very fast, tough guy on special teams. Every team needs guys like Charles Clay.

Good luck

I think he was a walk on wasn't he? I wonder if they promised him a scholarship and have none to give.

Random story: I was a couple miles outside of Hilo while on vacation on the Big Island in Hawaii and ventured into a gift shop after eating next door. I was wearing an SMU shirt and the woman working there(the owner) was surprised and said that her son, Charles Clay, was a football player there.

She was very nice and we had a good chat about the school and how popular JJ is in Hawaii. She said he was the main reason why he went there. Small world!

Good luck at UH, Charles.
