On Monday, Vic Viloria, the Mustangs own Butkus candidate, squatted 600 lbs. (compared to 500 lbs. last year at this time) and bench pressed 400 lbs. !!! He looked bigger and stronger as did most of the team. More results as I get the stats.

I have heard some similar things. I will try and ask some of my buddies if they can get an actual weight or two for some of the heavy lifers.

WOW, 600 and 400! Geez. Vic is a powerhouse.

Rumor that redshirt freshman LB Brett Mason was very impressive with bench just behind Vic and routinely benching more weight during scheduled workouts. Heard his speed is fast for LB. Good to hear of new players which add to SMU depth. Anymore, like to hear.

Sounds like Brian Bischoff's story last year. He was a freshman walkon and won the iron horse award (award for performance in the weight room) and then was offered a ship this fall during two a days. Bischoff was a success, hopefully Mason will be one also!

Who's Brett Mason? Where's he from? Anyone know anything about him?

How about this for weight lifting... approximately 8,453 lbs down three flights of stairs in 3 hours? This skinny kid is wore out! And there were plenty of newsreporters at the sink hole to make me feel like a star.

I got to give my props to 86 and 7 for coming out on short notice to give some muscular assistance, although don't ever give these guys a bicycle.. they'll go riding into the darkness! And I almost feel compelled to give Luker one of my guitars.. he looked so natural carrying it with that hair!

See ya on April 7th-
