ACC is finished will now look like former Big East etc etc Big 12 now will go strong for FSU, Clemson and probably even Miami but will hold off for awhile to see results of NCAA investigation. BYU could take Miami's spot or they both could get in.

From a source close to the President's office at GT. The source said that they are waiting to hire an AD and then decide.

tell them "don't delay, join today!"

Would accelerate demise of ACC and lead to possible scenario I posted on SMU to PAC thread

My uncle is connected to the Michigan State athletic department, and he told me over the break he thinks the Big 10 is looking to add Georgia Tech and UNC for their 15th and 16th schools.

I agree. UNC and GT make a lot of sense for what the B1G is trying to do.

Both major state schools, excellent academics, and good overall athletic programs.

Will be interesting to see if the Big 12 expands soon...I think FSU, Clemson, BYU, and some other team will be the initial targets to take them to 14. Obviously we have a 0% chance of getting into the Big 12.

What I am hearing up here is that if that happens with GT and NC, the ACC will take Uconn and Cinci. That will end the big East.

If GT and NC leave to B10, you can bet the ACC will suffer some other defections. The most valuable properties in the Big East will end up in a watered down ACC unless they can find a lifeboat to another conference.

The Big East that we joined is essentially dead already. Great for basketball still but that doesn't drive the ship.

I think UH and SMU have a lifeboat in a conference named after an ocean, and it's not the ACC
