Copeland can return to his old job. This would be a great oppurtunity to go back to an easier job. SMU is too hard. Jim, get your name on that list.

If I had to put a bet down I would say Jim Copeland will be at SMU for a few more years.

He has had the chance to move on/up/out/around. He chooses to re-build SMU

Copeland won't leave. He does not want to for some reason. I think he has peaked at SMU and I see no reason for him to stay, but something is making him. He withdrew his name from the running of AD at NC State and that would have been a huge job. They are really turning things around up there.

Anyone know why he chooses to stay put at SMU? Does he like Cavan or Dement? He sure as hell doesn't stay for the great support and athletics? Is it the challenge? WHY?
