OK, OK ...it's ping pong Image. Hey it's been a long, long time since I've played. The point is the same...play the best when you can to learn what you can.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

That plan might work for a large state school that has a large fan base anyway because of their large number of alumni, but for us that would mean playing a lot of Div. 1-aa teams to guarantee victories and that's not going to draw or build the fan base we need to support our program. We have a relatively small number of alumni and therefore need to make the casual college football fan interested in coming to our games. That means bringing in highly rated teams and hopefully give the fans a fun game to watch...win or lose.

What is wrong with a little pong? I have been know to ball on the table!

And this game is what we need, no doubt.

Sounds like the scoop right now is that there was some sort of misunderstanding between the networks and K-state. I hear nothing is final right now and they are still trying to get the game scheduled, IF it is picked up by a TV station, and KSTAR does not count.

Here is a link that should explain it from Kansas City, the catch right now is TV.
