Wow looks like this is going to be a big success for Tulane. They have sold or have reservations for 18,000 already. SMU sold 10,000 season tickets prior to opening Ford Stadium. Still think its a funky design but hey anything is better than the cavernous Superdome with 3,000 in attendance http://www.nola.com/tulane/index.ssf/20 ... ulman.html

Great for Tulane, but "funky" is an understatement.

Not sure how funky a design it is from the pictures in the link. Just have a suspicion that it will have greater crowd noise than what we generate.

My best friend and his wife are Tulane grads. They think that the new location is going to turn into a great party that will actually get New Orleans residents supporting the team again.

We're stuck with them for now. At least we have a fun roadtrip option for fball and bball.

What's the purpose of having Tulane in the conference if you cannot go to New Orleans? (Can't believe we are not on their schedule). I assume this will be remedied when Navy is in the conference and we go to divisions.

I like playing Tulane. Know many Tulane graduates. Great school in one of the greatest food/drink cities on the planet. Looking forward to attending some games against us down there in the coming years. Always best to have football on campus if you cannot draw crowds to an off campus Mausoleum.
