Those Clever Aggies - Longhorn Prank

Postby PonyTime » Thu Apr 10, 2014 9:14 am

Our seeds prank at TCU was still better than this...

Of course, it is illegal to pick bluebonnets on state property, so I suppose that the tower will continue to be surrounded by Maroon Bonnets...

Shameless attempt by Aggie student to brag. He capitalizes "Maroon" and points out that flower tweaking, or whatever it's called, was created in College Station.

Our band's seeds on Froggy Field, and whoever painted the Pony Up logo days before a game at Froggy Field, were much better. Mostly because it was SMU sticking it to TCU, and UT and A&M aren't worth caring about.

Great, A&M can make maroon Bluebonnets while Texas has a 76-37-5 all-time winning record against the Ags (.665%).

Congratulations on remaining Aggies, Aggies.

Meanwhile, SMU is about to be 24-45-7 against A&M. So...

Take away 11 of those losses (Post-DP) and our record as conference mates is 29-33-7 which is pretty even for our rivalry.

In fact, SMU was pretty even with the rest of the SWC, except UT which was pretty lopsided in their favor.

Other SWC rivalries (adjusted for Death Penalty):

SMU-TCU: 34-28-7
SMU-Texas Rivalry: 22-40-4
SMU-BU: 36-26-7
SMU-Texas Tech: 16-18-0
SMU-Arkansas: 27-30-5

I was kind of hoping you'd respond with something like that. Guess what? Remember when A&M was nothing but a small all male military college and when there were no limits on the amounts of scholarships the big state schools would give out? Well guess what happened when A&M went co-ed, made the Corps optional which led to huge growth in school size, and scholarship limits came into place? The football series with A&M and Texas has been pretty much dead even and A&M became one of the big boys in CFB that doesn't have to worry about getting left behind in conference realignment.

So if you want to poo poo A&M's all time record vs Texas fine. But unless you want to look like an [deleted] you have to do the same with every school's all time records regardless of why they might currently be that way.

What are you talking about? I only referred to the Aggy-SMU series...

If you do want to talk about Texas-Texas A&M, they have historically rolled your school.
Texas dominates A&M...And I HATE Texas
