A more experienced Neal Burcham, who showed flashes last year of being a pretty nice player.

Entire DL returns, three solid LBs in Sanders, Seals, and Yenga, and three solid OL starters return in Briggs, Lasecki, and Weeks...that's about it.

Key will be Burcham (or whoever starts at QB) and WR development IMO

I'm predicting 4-8 but hope I'm wrong

Here we go with the same QB savior talk based on a tiny bit of football. And tge cycle repeats.
"I think Couchem is right."

This year there will be 39 bowl games vs. the 35 in 2013-14. That means 78 teams will play post-season. All June needs to do is win 6 games.

In 2015-16 there will be 40 bowls, with an AAC team playing a Sun Belt team in the Cure Bowl. Can't wait.

Most of these bowls are the football equivalent of the CIT in basketball. You're happy to go when your team is on the rise and you need the extra practice, but you don't declare success when you go every year.

I'm looking forward to the season. Yes, there are questions about some positions but that happens every year. we should be stronger on D which would be a huge improvement. We were devastated by injuries last year. Yes, we had to score on the last drive when we were down to a couple of second string O linemen, our 4th string walk-on QB and out off the chart RB for the week team.

Alot of players have been in the offense a while so maybe it doesn't drop off much.

Actually I would see this as a negative. To me 6 wins would be a bad scenario as I am afraid we might keep June if we made a bowl.

No kiddin'. Wouldn't want to keep a coach that takes us to bowl games.... we've had so many coaches since Bobby Collins that have done that.

Well if there were 38 bowls when Cavan and Bennett were here, they would have taken us to bowl games too.

Stallion knows I appreciate his posts but whenever he goes into one of his tactless rants I always picture the old SNL scene with Dan Ackroyd and Jane Curtain with Stallion playing the role of Ackroyd saying in response to a remark "Jane you ignorant slut."

This issue has little to do with the posters, but rather, the product on the field. The product on the field is not very good because the recruiting fails to pump sufficient talent into the team to have quality and depth. This is the direct responsibility of the HC whose staff does not recruit effectively. There would be very little sunshine necessary or negativity if posters could see the football staff making positive and consistent efforts to identify and recruit kids. Negativity is natural when you see a staff that appears lazy, uncommitted, unorganized with very low expectations and a product that reflects these efforts.
